The 2021-22 NBA season was a magical one for the Boston Celtics, but it ended in disappointment when the team fell to the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals.
The Celtics have certainly used last season’s Finals defeat as motivation up to this point, but now, the squad has its eyes on a new prize: the 2023 championship.
Jaylen Brown recently spoke about that.
Asked if he still has last year’s NBA Finals on his mind, Jaylen Brown responds: “We’ve got the next one on our minds now.”

The Celtics are currently preparing to face the Atlanta Hawks in the first round of the playoffs in a series that will get underway on Saturday.
Boston went 3-0 against Atlanta in the regular season, so the team has to be feeling pretty good about its chances of winning the series.
The Celtics finished the regular season with a 57-25 record.
Nothing is guaranteed, but if the Celtics take care of business against the Hawks, there’s a good chance that they’ll face the Philadelphia 76ers in the second round before a possible date with the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference Finals.
That path isn’t exactly a walk in the park, but the Celtics have proven that they can compete with the best of the best in the NBA.
If Boston makes it out of the East, it’ll have a chance to claim the 2023 title and erase the pain of last year’s NBA Finals.
Brown and fellow Celtics star Jayson Tatum will certainly have a lot to do with how far the team gets in the postseason, and it’s clear that they have huge goals in mind.
