The NFL offseason has been filled with dramatic storylines ranging from players being on the move, to franchises being potentially sold.

Recently, the Washington Commanders have been in the news regarding their potential sale, and what that may look like moving forward.

When the news broke of the Commanders potentially being on the market, Jeff Bezos showed interest.

Recently, it has been revealed that Bezos is also interested in ownership of the Seattle Seahawks.

A recent article from the Washington Post outlines the path that Bezos went on to come to this conclusion, as well as the path he took to lose interest in the Commanders.

“Bezos knows that Seattle is just sitting there,” an NFL insider told the Washington Post.

While the Seahawks are not currently for sale, they are projected to be in the next few years.

When that happens, Bezos is expected to pounce.

The Seahawks made the playoffs in 2022 after trading away Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos.

Now, they will look to grow their roster during the 2023 season, making a similar playoff push to the season prior.

With the draft looming, and both the fifth and 20th overall picks in their pocket, the Seahawks will have the necessary capital to do so.

One of the team’s biggest question marks is at the quarterback position.

Geno Smith was signed to a contract extension, but many around the league have pointed to the Seahawks as a prime candidate to add a quarterback in this year’s draft.
