Jets Player Has 1 Word To Describe Aaron Rodgers’ Presence

After a subpar 2022 season in which he looked to be in slow decline, quarterback Aaron Rodgers seems re-energized with the New York Jets during OTAs.

Rodgers was at odds with the Green Bay Packers over the last couple of years, and while the move to the Tri-state area has seemingly given him a new lease on his football life, he has also energized a franchise that has long been ridiculed.

For the first time since 2010, which was the last time they reached the AFC Championship Game, the Jets seem to have legitimate Super Bowl hopes.

Cornerback D.J. Reed says that the Jets’ facilities have been “lit” because of the arrival of Rodgers, per Rich Cimini.

Although the Jets had good teams in 2009 and 2010 when they reached the AFC title game, not to mention a bombastic head coach in Rex Ryan, this appears to be their best hope at a world championship since the 1968 season.

That was when Joe Namath led them to an upset over Johnny Unitas’ Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl III after famously guaranteeing the Jets would win.

Rodgers is quite simply the best, or at least the most prestigious quarterback they have had since Namath.

Even when another former Packer by the name of Brett Favre played there in 2008, he appeared to be over the hill, and he couldn’t take them to the playoffs.

Rodgers’ numbers dipped somewhat last season, leading some to feel that Father Time was catching up with him, but perhaps his new surroundings will jump-start him this fall.
