The New York Jets are in search of a playoff berth for the first time in 12 seasons.
This is the longest active drought in the NFL, and the Jets are now taking active strides to remedy those woes.
Adding Aaron Rodgers was long-awaited, as the team finally landed an elite quarterback to lead their team.
Ahead of a highly-anticipated season, Sauce Gardner has highlighted that Rodgers’ presence will help him grow in his second NFL season.
“He has the secret gems he can give me,” Gardner said to the New York Post, highlighted in an article on the NFL’s website.

Because they are on the same team, Gardner will have an opportunity to defend passes by Rodgers in practice.
With any luck, this will hopefully grow Gardner’s game, making him an even better cornerback.
Last year, Gardner won the Defensive Rookie of the Year award and will now try to win the Defensive Player of the Year award in 2023.
If Gardner’s floor is the Defensive Rookie of the Year, his ceiling is to win the league MVP.
In fact, on an episode of Travis and Jason Kelce’s podcast, Gardner has claimed he has what it takes to win MVP, a feat that is rarely given to defensive players.
How will the Jets perform this season, given the number of new faces and young players on their roster?
