If there’s such a thing as a curse in sports, then one might say that the Buffalo Bills have been cursed.

They have yet to win a Super Bowl despite reaching the big game four times in their history, and they’ve knocked on the door of another Super Bowl berth lately, but to no avail.

Josh Allen has turned them into a perennial championship contender, and he’s yet to reach his ceiling.

However, as great as he’s been, he hasn’t been able to shake off that curse, currently leading the league in turnovers in one-score games over the past three years.

Allen has 36 turnovers in such games over that span, followed by Justin Herbert (30), Derek Carr (29), and Dak Prescott (28).

Notably, neither of those quarterbacks has reached the Super Bowl yet, and it doesn’t strike as much of a surprise, all things considered.

Late-game execution, situational football, and taking care of the football are a must for winning teams, and while turnovers can’t always be credited to the quarterback, these guys haven’t exactly thrived when the game has been on the line.

Allen recently claimed that he has a whole different mindset this time and that he’s never wanted it more.

He’s been an MVP candidate for the past three years and the Bills have had one of the strongest rosters on both ends of the field, yet they haven’t been able to get past the Kansas City Chiefs in the postseason, and their fans will surely hope they can finally get over the hump this time.
