Keyshawn Johnson Says The Dolphins Should Have 1 Goal With Tua Tagovailoa

The Miami Dolphins had a promising season in 2022.

Tua Tagovailoa took a major leap forward under first-year Head Coach Mike McDaniel, finally looking like the elite prospect he was during his days with the Alabama Crimson Tide.

However, that didn’t last long, as they failed to protect him and even put his life at risk by letting him play through multiple concussions.

That’s why former NFL player Keyshawn Johnson believes the team should have Tua’s health at the top of their priority list in years to come.

Tua suffered some gruesome hits and raised plenty of concerns around the league, even forcing the NFL to review its concussion protocols.

He later admitted that he even considered retirement, as his life was literally in danger because of how the team dealt with his situation.

Tua was an MVP candidate and the Dolphins were an explosive team when he was behind center.

That combination with him, Jaylen Waddle, and Tyreek Hill proved to be deadly, and they were a perennial big-play threat on the open field.

Even without him, the Dolphins proved to be capable of putting up points and becoming a threat to come out of the AFC East, but obviously, they will only go as far as their franchise QB can get them.

But football, wins, and even money aside, all players’ health should always be first and foremost, not only for the Dolphins and the NFL, but also for everybody even slightly involved with the sport.

Even if you’re not a Dolphins fan, you have to root for Tua to stay safe and sound in 2023.
