The San Francisco Giants are starting to play much better baseball and now find themselves just one game below the .500 mark and only six games back of first place.

They are also just 1.5 games back of the third National League Wild Card spot.

Leading the way for them as of late has been their ace in right-hander Logan Webb.

Webb has been dominant over his previous six starts.

All of those outings have been quality starts for Webb.

On Twitter, MLB writer Eric Cross posted some stats that show just how impressive and dominant Webb has been as of late.

In his previous six starts, Webb has pitched 41.1 innings and owns an ERA of 1.74.

He also owns a WHIP of 1.03, a walk-rate of 6.3 percent, and a strikeout rate of 23.1 percent.

With Carlos Rodon gone, the Giants were in need of a top-tier starting pitcher.

Webb has certainly established himself as such.

The 26-year-old has started 10 games for the Giants this season and owns a record of 3-5 with an ERA of 2.91.

The young right-hander has also pitched 65 innings while striking out 65 batters and posting a WHIP 1.108.

As Cross notes, Webb has also thrown his changeup quite a bit more.

The tweet also features a few graphics which show how Webb has been spotting his pitches on this recent run.

The Giants right-hander has certainly pitched well this month and has taken over the role of ace with Rodon no longer on their roster.
