The Los Angeles Lakers turned their season around in a huge way but all of their changes and advances weren’t enough on Monday night.
The Lakers were swept out of the Western Conference Finals by the Denver Nuggets on Monday night, putting to end a very long, maddening, and interesting season.
Now that their season is over, people are talking about ways the Lakers can get better.
NBA analyst Mike Greenberg has an idea that many were sharing on Tuesday morning: the Lakers should target Kyrie Irving.
“Lebron was valiant in the final game of this 20th #NBA SEASON. You can’t ask more of him than he gave. #Lakers need one more legitimate offensive weapon. Like Kyrie Irving,” Greenberg said on Twitter Monday night.

Before the season even began, talk of Irving to the Lakers was running rampant.
That’s because rumors said that Irving actually demanded he be sent to the Lakers when he was trying to get out of his stay with the Brooklyn Nets.
He eventually moved down to the Dallas Mavericks, a team that didn’t even make the playoffs.
Recent inside reporting suggested that the Lakers had grown lukewarm on the idea of Irving because they were quite happy with the roster they had built.
But now that they have fallen short in the playoffs and certain players haven’t played very well in the latest series, maybe they will think about Irving again.
Irving has a short-term deal with the Mavericks so he could be attainable.
But is he really what the Lakers need?
Greenberg won’t be the last one to contemplate this move in the weeks ahead.
