Tuesday is the day the NBA draft lottery will be held, and this year, there will be many extra eyeballs directed at it because of the impending entrance of Victor Wembanyama into the league.
The French center, who is (at least) 7-foot-3, is considered a generational talent and even someone who could change the league.
On Tuesday, 14 teams will convene at the lottery for the right to draft Wembanyama, and according to NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, the big man isn’t just a generational talent, but the “most highly-anticipated player to ever enter the NBA” and perhaps even “the greatest prospect in the history of team sports.”

Wembanyama put up 21.6 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 3.1 blocked shots a game while shooting 46.8 percent overall and 28.3 percent from 3-point range.
What makes him such an intriguing prospect is his ball-handling skills and his ability to get his own shot off the dribble, which includes shots out to 3-point range.
Some may say that he still needs some time to develop, especially given that as recently as last season he didn’t even average double digits in scoring and still isn’t an accurate outside shooter, but he seems to be on a steep upward trajectory.
In recent years, many have lamented the perception that there aren’t any great centers or big men anymore, but actually, there are several such as Anthony Davis, Joel Embiid, and league MVP Joel Embiid, just to name a few.
Perhaps Wembanyama will balance the ledger even more at that position in the years to come.
