The Denver Nuggets have found a once-in-a-lifetime kind of player in Nikola Jokic.
They brought him in slowly, but he’s developed to become perhaps the most unique big man in the history of the game.
That’s why ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski wanted to dismiss the narrative that the Nuggets aren’t aesthetically pleasing to watch, comparing them to the San Antonio Spurs at the height of their run.
“He’s revolutionized the center position in this league. … I am mesmerized watching Nikola Jokić play basketball. … When Jokić is on, you can’t take your eyes off of him.”

Woj praised Jokic’s passing ability, going as far as to say that he’s completely revolutionized the game by playing as a true point-center.
Coach Mike Malone put the ball in Jokic’s hands, and that’s made the Nuggets’ offense virtually unstoppable.
Having a seven-footer pulling the strings of the offense, taking the ball on the court, and setting his teammates up changes everything around him.
He can pass over every single player in the league, and it seems like he’s got eyes on the back of his head.
It’s not just the flashy Magic Johnson-ish passing but also the basketball IQ, playmaking skills, and brains to pick apart rival defenses in real time.
Never in the history of the game has a player embodied the definition of ‘triple-threat’ as much as Jokic has.
You cannot double him because of his passing, and you cannot leave him open because he can hit shots from all over the court.
Blitz him or pick him up high, and he’ll drive to the rim and dunk on you.
There’s literally nothing he can’t do at the center position, and that’s beautiful to watch.
