After years of speculation and rumors, the Washington Commanders are on the verge of officially being solid, with the Dan Snyder era in the nation’s capital about to come to an end.
It has been reported that Snyder will sell the storied NFL franchise for over $6 billion, which is unprecedented as it will be the highest price a team has been sold for in the league.
Over his 23 years as team owner, Synder has failed to make the team successful on the football field, with only two playoff wins to his credit, which, as Warren Sharp of The Ringer points out, is $3 billion per playoff win.

Despite the lack of success by the football team, Snyder will be raking in over $5 billion in profit in this sale, as he bought the team for $800 million back in 1999.
Buying the team was a wise business decision by Snyder, but he definitely left his mark in Washington, D.C., in the worst way with a toxic working environment and an inability to put together a winner.
Hopefully, for the sake of Commanders fans and football in the nation’s capital, the new ownership group will help turn things around for the struggling NFL franchise.
At this point, it seems as though anyone but Snyder running things would be a step in the right direction.
It’ll be interesting to see what the impact of this ownership change in Washington, D.C. will do for the franchise moving forward, as the ownership group will almost certainly want to make a splash immediately.
