Just two years ago, the Los Angeles Rams capped off an outstanding season with a much-deserved Super Bowl ring.

But they weren’t able to keep that same pace last season, either because of multiple injuries, regression, or even some tough luck.

Now, Sean McVay and company are looking at quite a roster overhaul.

According to Adam Schefter and Field Yates, not only do they not have a kicker, punter, or long snapper on the team right now, but Matthew Stafford is the only quarterback under contract.

More than that, the Rams only have 45 players signed for next season, which is by far the lowest number in the league.

OTAs are already underway, and the Rams will have to go on a ‘historic’ signing spree to fill out a 90-man roster, reports Yates.

The Rams built their roster by stacking up as much talent and star power as they could, even if that meant jeopardizing the future and giving up multiple picks.

While that formula proved to be successful with that Super Bowl run, it wasn’t going to be sustainable.

With some of their stars already gone, the Rams could drastically shift their M.O. and focus on rookies and unproven players to fill that 90-man roster.

They have eleven draft picks, but they don’t have a first-rounder this season.

So, it might take a while before the Rams become a legit threat to come out of the NFC West again.
