There is a good amount of talent available in the 2023 NFL Draft, which will begin on Thursday, April 27, yet there is some dispute as to who will go with the first few selections.

Although many think University of Alabama quarterback Bryce Young will be the first player chosen, it is not a foregone conclusion that C.J. Stroud will go No. 2, as many have expected, nor is it a lock by any means that the Indianapolis Colts will take another quarterback, such as Anthony Richardson, at No. 4.

NFL insider Dianna Russini summed up the sentiment for a number of teams as the draft approaches.

The Houston Texans have the second pick, and although they badly need a quarterback, there has been talk in recent days that they may take a player at a different position instead.

There are a couple of intriguing pass rushers in this year’s draft, including Alabama’s Will Anderson Jr. and Tyree Wilson of Texas Tech University, and some believe that the Texans are poised to take Anderson or perhaps Wilson at No. 2.

There is also talk that perhaps the Colts could trade up to No. 3, a position that is currently held by the Arizona Cardinals, in order to draft a replacement for the declining Matt Ryan.

Another interesting question is where Bijan Robinson, a running back who is thought to be dripping with superstar potential, will go, especially given how undervalued running backs are these days.

A number of mock drafts have him going somewhere in the middle of the first round.
