The Pittsburgh Steelers recently made a move in order to try to return to the NFL playoffs by trading for veteran wide receiver Allen Robinson II, who spent last season with the Los Angeles Rams.
Robinson is a nine-year veteran, and before last season, he played four years apiece with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Chicago Bears.
According to NFL insider Dianna Russini, Robinson is now officially a member of the Steelers, as he has passed his physical exam.

Robinson made the Pro Bowl in 2015 as a member of the Jaguars when he posted 1,400 yards and 14 touchdowns, and while he isn’t quite what he used to be, he will still come in handy for a young Pittsburgh team.
The team is looking to develop quarterback Kenny Pickett, who is coming off a lackluster rookie season, and they’re trying to surround him with as many offensive weapons as possible.
They already have wide receiver George Pickens, who had a nice rookie season with 801 yards and four touchdowns. as well as wideout Diontae Johnson, who had 882 yards last year and made the Pro Bowl in 2021 with 1,161 yards and eight touchdowns.
In addition, running back Najee Harris may be a rising star — he has rushed for at least 1,000 yards and seven touchdowns in both of his first two pro seasons.
The Steelers went 9-8 in 2022 and came very close to snagging a playoff spot in the AFC, but perhaps the addition of Robinson and some internal improvement will send them back to the postseason next year.
