The Tennessee Titans are looking to pick up the pieces and rebound after a disappointing 7-10 campaign last season.
They’re in need of an upgrade at quarterback, as Ryan Tannehill appears to be in decline, and they need one or two big-time weapons at wide receiver after A.J. Brown departed last offseason.
Insider Ian Rapoport says that although the Titans are trying to trade up in Thursday’s draft, they have not been talking to the Arizona Cardinals about trying to land DeAndre Hopkins.

Hopkins has been rumored to be on the trading block for months now, and he could be the type of wideout the Titans need to become relevant again.
After missing the first six games of the 2022 season after violating the NFL’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs, he appeared in nine contests and had 717 yards and three touchdowns.
At age 30 (he will turn 31 in June), perhaps Hopkins’ abilities have eroded a bit in the last few years, but he could still provide a team such as Tennessee with a reliable playmaker.
The Titans’ lynchpin is running back Derrick Henry, and despite suffering a foot injury in 2021, he still ran for 1,538 yards and 13 touchdowns last season.
But the modern NFL is based chiefly upon the passing game, and the Titans finished 28th in passing touchdowns and 30th in passing yards in 2022, meaning that they need a massive upgrade or two in that department.
Trading up to the No. 3 pick would go a long way in making that happen and getting them back to the playoffs.
