Nikola Jokic’s Playoff Dominance Highlighted With New Record

The Denver Nuggets continue to prove they’re a team to look out for in the Western Conference.

And, as per usual, plenty of that has to do with the man in the middle: Nikola Jokic.

Regardless of some narratives against him, Jokic has been an elite contributor every time he’s set foot on the court in the playoffs, with or without a good supporting cast by his side.

As a matter of fact, ESPN Stats & Info reported that he’s the first player in NBA history with averages of at least 25 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists through his first 50 career playoff games.

Jokic put on a show in Game 2 versus the Minnesota Timberwolves, once again making his MVP case crystal clear.

The Serbian big man was the leading candidate to take the award home for the third-straight season, but Joel Embiid’s late-year rampage made him lose plenty of ground.

Even so, he’s not worried or bothered by that at this point, as he knows people will start questioning his legacy if the one-seeded Nuggets don’t go far in the playoffs.

People are talking about the Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Lakers, and even Golden State Warriors, yet no one seems to be mentioning the Nuggets as a threat to come out of the Western Conference.

They’re finally healthy and have a stacked team, and with Jokic playing at this level, it’s hard to think they’re going to go home empty-handed again this season.
