As the St. Louis Cardinals are finding their groove, so too is MVP finalist Nolan Arenado.

The veteran slugger and star third baseman got off to a very difficult start this season and had a poor month of April.

However, much like his team, he appears to have kicked it into gear once again.

On Tuesday, he hit a solo home run off of Milwaukee Brewers starter Wade Miley to tie the game at one run apiece in the bottom of the second inning.

Tuesday marked the fifth-straight game that the slugger and MVP candidate had hit a home run.

On Twitter, the Cardinals posted a video of the moment.

Arenado began this impressive streak on Friday night at Fenway Park.

He got the Cardinals started with a two-run homer and ended up hitting a homer in each of the three games during the weekend series as the Cards swept the Boston Red Sox.

He continued the streak in the series opener against the Brewers on Monday.

But the Cardinals needed a key hit from the slugger in the bottom of the second inning to get on the board against Miley and the Brewers.

Arenado gave them just that and hit a towering drive down the left field line to tie the game.

The Cardinals have now won seven of their last nine games and have pulled to within 7.5 games of the Brewers for first place in the NL Central.

They also are now just 4.5 games behind the Miami Marlins for the third National League Wild Card spot.
