The Denver Nuggets have had a good team for the last several years, but it appears they have now become a great team and likely a championship team.

They swept aside the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday to advance to the NBA Finals for the first time in franchise history, and they’re strong favorites to take home the world title.

Much of the credit has gone to two-time MVP Nikola Jokic and star guard Jamal Murray, and deservingly so, but Denver has assembled a strong supporting cast around them.

A video they posted to their official Twitter account shows just a few of those key role players celebrating their Western Conference title.

Denver’s three other starters are Michael Porter Jr., Aaron Gordon, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who actually played for the Lakers when they won it all in 2020.

But off the bench, the Nuggets have a number of veterans who may not play much but have allowed them to get this far.

Veteran center DeAndre Jordan has given them depth behind Jokic, and veteran forward Jeff Green has hit key, timely shots throughout the postseason.

Ish Smith has bounced around the league, as has guard Reggie Jackson.

The Nuggets seem to have very good chemistry and camaraderie, and they also seem to like each other and enjoy each other’s company, which are necessary qualities for a championship team in any sport.

In all likelihood, they will be bringing the city of Denver its first NBA championship, to go along with its three Super Bowl trophies and three Stanley Cup titles.
