Before the NBA trade deadline in February, the Phoenix Suns made a blockbuster trade that was a no-brainer, with the team bringing in superstar forward Kevin Durant to join Devin Booker, Chris Paul and Deandre Ayton in Arizona.
Although Durant had been rumored to want to play for the Suns, Phoenix was reluctant to part ways with Mikal Bridges in any deal, but after a change in ownership, that stance changed, and now this squad is arguably the team to beat in the Western Conference.
With the NBA playoffs now underway, the Suns will do battle with the division rival Los Angeles Clippers, which is a series they’re favored to win, especially if Paul George doesn’t return from injury.
Along with the Suns getting a lot of buzz heading into this first-round playoff series with the Clippers, Baltimore Ravens superstar Odell Beckham Jr., who is a big fan of the NBA franchise, believes his favorite team will win it all, as he told ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith.

The consensus right now in the NBA is the West is wide open, with no clear-cut favorite to advance to the NBA Finals.
The top-seeded Denver Nuggets will be a threat with NBA MVP finalist Nikola Jokic leading the way, and the Memphis Grizzlies will always be a force to be reckoned with as long as Ja Morant is healthy, but no team in the conference is as stacked as the Suns.
Phoenix’s three-headed monster of Durant, Booker and Paul will be hard to top, especially when Ayton is playing at a high level on top of that.
