The Kansas City Chiefs are coming off another Super Bowl title in the Patrick Mahomes era, with this team quickly becoming a dynasty with the superstar under center and players like Travis Kelce downfield.
The Chiefs proved once again that they could make it work regardless of the star players they may lose, as they traded superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins before the 2022 NFL season got underway.
Kansas City lost a couple of other notable wide receivers this offseason, with JuJu Smith-Schuster and Mecole Hardman heading elsewhere in free agency, but that hasn’t stopped Mahomes from recruiting others or at least getting a look at young talent at wide receiver.
Mahomes recently asked 2023 NFL Draft prospect Zay Flowers to work out with him on the field, and the incoming rookie jumped at the opportunity, which has led to speculation about the team potentially targeting the wideout in the draft.
Chiefs general manager Brett Veach talked about the two working out together and danced around the prospect of the team drafting him via Nick Jacobs of KSHB 41 News.

Flowers is arguably one of the most talented wide receivers in the upcoming draft and will be a hot commodity, with the consensus being that he’ll be a late pick in the first round on April 27.
Unless the Chiefs make a trade to move up in the first round, Kansas City won’t be on the clock until No. 31 next week.
With Flowers projected to go late in the first round, it’s not beyond the realm of possibility that Flowers falls in their lap at No. 31.
However, if Mahomes and the Chiefs like what they saw from him and aren’t set on addressing another position, they could make some moves to get him.
