Everybody’s talked about the New York Jets in the offseason, either because of the Aaron Rodgers saga or, more recently, because of Quinnen Williams’ contract situation.
The talented DT scrubbed his team from his social media profiles, putting more pressure on the franchise to do right by him in his impending contract extension.
And while that might hint at some discontent with the organization, Peter Schrager of Good Morning Football isn’t worried about that right now.
“I believe Quinnen Williams is going to be the highest paid Defensive Tackle in the NFL not named Aaron Donald. He’s beloved by the team and he’s worth it. It just may take a little patience.”

Schrager stated that the Jets absolutely love him and want to keep him around for the long run, which is why he didn’t like that tactic from Williams.
The analyst believes scrubbing the team from social media is just going to create unnecessary drama, as the Jets were always going to pay him what he’s worth.
Schrager also went as far as to predict that he’s going to be the highest-paid defensive tackle in the league not named Aaron Donald, citing that he’s due to make north of $24 million a year in his next deal.
That’s obviously a lot of money for a defensive tackle, but Williams has proven to be a generational talent since he entered the league as the No. 3 pick.
The Jets have always intended to build around him, and they just can’t afford to lose a guy with his skill set, especially now that they’re expected to go all-in for a Super Bowl run.
Still, Williams most likely won’t put them back on his Twitter account until that money hits his bank account.
