After sitting out all of last season while rehabbing from a torn ACL, wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. will be back on the field in 2023 as a member of the Baltimore Ravens.
They signed him to a one-year, $15 million contract, which raised some eyebrows, as some feel it is too much money to commit to someone who suffered two torn ACLs in a span of under 18 months.
It is natural to wonder if Beckham can be an effective player again, but Ravens GM Eric DeCosta seems confident that he will have a nice bounce-back 2023 campaign.

When Beckham came into the NFL for the 2014 season as a member of the New York Giants, he took the league by storm, collecting over 1,300 yards and making the Pro Bowl in each of his first three seasons.
But when he suffered a fractured ankle in 2017, his productivity started to decline.
He was still a very good playmaker when he joined the Cleveland Browns in 2019, but he tore his ACL the following season and had to watch as they won their first playoff game since 1994.
In 2021, his last active season, he put up relatively modest numbers, at least by his standards: 537 yards and five touchdowns.
His new contract with Baltimore gives him the opportunity to earn an extra $3 million if he has at least 60 receptions, 1,000 yards and nine touchdowns, or if he leads the team in each category.
They will certainly need him to produce big numbers, as none of their wideouts reached 500 receiving yards last season.
