The New York Jets have made plenty of moves this offseason.
But one spot they have yet to upgrade is quarterback.
That is because they have their sights set on acquiring Aaron Rodgers from the Green Bay Packers.
Rodgers has already said that he wants to play for the Jets.
Now it is just a matter of the two teams agreeing to a deal.
One Jets player that would be thrilled to play with Rodgers is cornerback Sauce Gardner.
Last season, Gardner was the Defensive Rookie of the Year and a first-team All-Pro.
Gardner has been vocal about his hopes to play with Rodgers, and he even texted the quarterback to break the ice.
On the New Heights podcast, Gardner said how his first message to Rodgers was a picture of a cheesehead.
At least Aaron Rodgers didn’t tell you to lose his number 😂 @iamSauceGardner @JasonKelce @tkelce @BWWings pic.twitter.com/DZPLZSEMa4

Last season, after the Jets beat the Packers, Gardner walked off the field wearing one of the Packers’ legendary cheeseheads.
Gardner and all of Jets Nation hope Rodgers can turn that cheesehead into a Jets helmet.
New York has a great roster in place, but their quarterback has held them back in recent years.
If they can land Rodgers, the expectations will be to compete for a Super Bowl.
The AFC is a very competitive conference, but the Jets could stack up with most teams.
Their defense is stout and they have plenty of good skill players.
Rodgers is the last piece they need to turn into a serious threat.
