The month of April is filled with anticipation from many NFL fans, as the draft is right around the corner.

Fans and analysts alike spend time reviewing all potential prospects, partaking in mock drafts, and trying to predict the draft order.

Ahead of the 2023 draft, a report has emerged about the Seattle Seahawks and their pre-draft process.

In a recent press conference, Seahawks GM John Schneider had this to say, regarding an in-house mock draft.

“We thought we were adding to our process, and it was awful,” he said.

Head coach Pete Carroll added to this conversation, citing that this mock was a “disaster.”

The Seahawks have found themselves in a unique situation ahead of this year’s draft, as they have three picks within the first 40 selections.

How they will use those picks remains to be seen.

Several draft analysts have cited the quarterback position as an area of need, even though the team has recently extended Geno Smith.

Others have pointed to the defense, adding assets to their roster to build for the future.

The mock draft process will be left to the people that do it best, fans and analysts outside of an organization.

On draft day, many trades happen, causing the draft order to change significantly.

This makes the draft nearly impossible to prepare for, rendering the mock draft process to be without much merit.
