No matter how many games they won or what teams they beat, some fans and analysts refused to give the Denver Nuggets their flowers.
That’s no longer the case, as Mike Malone’s team is back in the Western Conference Finals, and they’ve been the best and most consistent team in both the regular season and the playoffs, and it’s not even close.
That’s why Skip Bayless admitted that he’s finally sold on this Denver team, citing that they’ve looked better every time he’s watched them play and citing that this might as well be the year they finally get over the hump and win the whole thing.
“It’s feeling to me like it’s Denver’s year to win the whole thing.”

Bayless praised Nikola Jokic for being consistent, which is something he cannot say of Jayson Tatum or Anthony Davis.
He claimed that the Nuggets had been a well-coached team that can throw multiple looks at you and that, even though Jokic isn’t the best defender, the team has made an outstanding effort to crash the glass and be the best rebounding team in the West.
The Nuggets were quite impressive on the road to close out Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, and the Phoenix Suns, and one cannot overlook their natural home-court advantage because of Colorado’s thin air, especially this deep into the season and going against a 38-year-old LeBron James.
They’ll be put to the test one final time to prove that they’re not just another regular-season team.
And for the first time in franchise history, they might as well have more than enough to win the whole thing.
