The Atlanta Hawks snuck into the playoffs as the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference.

Unfortunately for them, they must face the Boston Celtics in the first round.

Boston is the reigning eastern conference champion and they are known for their stout defense.

That was quite evident in game one on Saturday.

Boston dominated the Hawks in game one, making life very difficult for Trae Young.

Young scored 16 points in the game and shot 5-18 from the field.

Also, he was 1-5 from three-point range.

If the Hawks want to shock the Celtics in this series, they need the best from Young.

But he has not shown up in his most recent playoff games.

Young has been terrible from three in the playoffs, dating back to last year.

According to ESPN Stats & Info, Young is 8/49 from 3 in his last seven playoff games.

That is simply not going to cut it.

The former first-round pick has always been lauded for his ability to shoot deep threes.

But he never makes them at a high clip.

On the season, Young shot 33.5% from three, which was his lowest since his rookie season.

The Hawks need their best player to show up if they want to make some noise in the postseason.

But facing the Celtics will make life very hard on Young.
