The series between the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors is now tied 2-2 after the Kings started strong with a 2-0 lead.

No matter how the opening round concludes, it is clear that De’Aaron Fox of the Kings is becoming a household name.

The young guard has been incredible during this series and has been noticed by millions of people who hadn’t been watching his team during the regular season.

Stephen A. Smith had nothing but strong praise for Fox on Monday morning’s episode of Get Up.

“When you look at De’Aaron Fox, he has emerged as a superstar in this game. … We now need to look at him in the same ilk as a Ja Morant,” Smith said.

This is Fox’s first playoff run and he is showing that he can perform even better in the postseason than in the regular season.

He is averaging 31.5 points, 6 rebounds, and 8 assists in the playoffs, compared to his 25 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 6.1 assists in the regular season.

As noted by Smith, he is actually outscoring Stephen Curry in this series.

Yet things are all tied up, despite Fox’s superstar showing.

On Sunday, the Kings almost pulled out a win but a last-second shot from Harrison Barnes didn’t go in.

Smith said that this was a rare mistake from Fox.

He should have been the one to take that final shot, Smith argued.

That is especially true because he was recently voted the Clutch Player of the Year and is well known for wild buzzer-beaters.

In the end, the Warriors’ experience might help them win this series.

Win or lose, there is no doubt that Fox has been his team’s MVP.
