The A’s Have A Fun Feat To Celebrate

We have been saying it for a while: the Oakland Athletics‘ offense is not so bad.

Their pitching is abysmal, but their lineup is actually competent.

It is comprised mainly of rookies or second-year players who, for some reason, hadn’t received a fair shot until 2023.

Of course, playing on a rebuilding team will give you ample playing time if you show you are a promising hitter.

On Tuesday, the Arizona Diamondbacks and the A’s played 12 innings of baseball before Oakland walked things off.

The score, 9-8, is more proof that the A’s offense is not a terrible unit.

The game was decided by the rookies, and they made the A’s establish a cool record.

“The @Athletics are the first team in MLB history to have one rookie (Ryan Noda) come up with the bases loaded and deliver a game-tying grand slam and another rookie (Esteury Ruiz) come up with the bases loaded and deliver a walkoff hit in the same game,” OptaSTATS tweeted.

Noda’s home run came in the bottom of the seventh inning and helped the A’s knot the score at eight.

The score would remain that way until the bottom of the 12th.

By that time, it was Ruiz’s turn.

He had the bases loaded and singled in the winning run.

Oakland, however, remains the weakest team in the league with a 10-34 record as of Wednesday afternoon.

They were the last team in baseball to reach 10 wins and their pitching staff looks like a Triple-A unit.

As long as the ownership keeps ignoring the roster, they seem ticketed for last place in the AL West division.
