It didn’t take long before former Denver Broncos kicker Brandon McManus found a new home.

Just two days after being shockingly released, McManus made his way to the Jacksonville Jaguars, replacing the now-waived Riley Patterson.

McManus made 148 appearances for the Broncos over nine years, including a win in the Super Bowl in 2015-16, a postseason run in which he went 10-for-10.

He made a name for himself for being one of the most prominent kickers in the game, thriving in the clutch and serving as one of their team’s captains.

McManus is coming off making 28 of 36 field goals and 25 of 27 point after attempts last season for the Broncos’ disappointing and underwhelming offense.

In nine seasons with the team, he converted 81.4% of his field goal attempts (223 of 274) and recorded the third-most field goals of 50+ yards in the NFL over that span (40).

As for Patterson, he could be eligible to rejoin the Jaguars if he clears waivers, and he’d be a solid insurance policy.

He made 19 appearances for the team last season and went 3 of 3 in their two postseason games.

He converted 33 of 38 field goal attempts last season and 36 of 37 points after attempts, also knocking down 2 of 3 from 50+ yards.

It seemed like he wasn’t going to last long with the team — or in the league, for that matter — after missing four field goals in his first ten games with the organization.

Then, he went on an impressive run by converting 19 out of the remaining 20 he had to kick throughout the campaign, but it wasn’t enough for him to secure a spot in the roster with McManus available.
