Mikal Bridges’ life was drastically changed earlier this year when he was traded to the Brooklyn Nets.
After spending the entirety of his young NBA career with the Phoenix Suns, Bridges was now living on the other side of the country without the athletes he had grown close with.
But Bridges used this as an opportunity and played some of the best basketball of his career after coming to Brooklyn.
The Nets have been very happy with what he’s done.
They are so happy, in fact, that The Athletic is reporting Brooklyn is not interested in trading Bridges, according to The Athletic via NBA Central.

This is a decision that makes a lot of sense for the Nets.
Since coming to Brooklyn, Bridges has averaged 26.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.7 assists.
Those are impressive numbers made possible by the amount of time he gets on the court and the prominence that the team has put on him.
Bridges is quickly becoming the biggest star for the Nets.
After they lost both Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, Brooklyn was at a crossroads and their future wasn’t entirely clear.
They still have some choices to make and improvements to focus on too.
The Nets easily got pushed out of the playoffs in the opening round, proving that they have a way to go before they are truly great.
Will they try to make some trades in the offseason and acquire more talent to improve the roster?
That seems likely.
But it seems that Brooklyn is going to build their new look around Bridges, who has earned his spot at the center of the team.
