The Boston Red Sox are on a roll.

Despite losing some key pieces during the offseason, they appear to have rediscovered their groove in 2023.

On Thursday, they busted out the brooms, defeating the Toronto Blue Jays by a final of 11-5 and securing a four-game sweep.

The team sits at 19-14, having won six consecutive games and have moved into the second Wild Card spot in the American League.

Needless to say, the Red Sox are all smiles after securing their sixth straight victory.

On Twitter, the Red Sox posted a GIF of last night’s starter Brayan Bello celebrating to commemorate their big accomplishment.

Few were expecting the Red Sox to be as hot as they are right now.

After finishing in last place in the AL East with a 78-84 record, the team lost a few key pieces in free agency.

However, they have found a way to win games despite being overlooked by many pundits.

Bello earned the win for Boston, allowing four runs, two of them earned over five innings.

Masataka Yoshida, one of the team’s key additions, also hit a home run to continue his impressive hit streak, bumping it up to 13 consecutive games.

The Red Sox have also put some distance between themselves and the New York Yankees, who they leapfrogged in the standings earlier this week to climb out of last place in the AL East.

They’ll open up a weekend series against the defending National League champion Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park on Friday as they look to keep their momentum alive.
