The Houston Texans find themselves in a favorable position ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft.
With the No. 2 overall pick, the Texans are in the driver’s seat and have their choice of nearly every top prospect.
Along with the No. 2 pick, the Texans also hold the 12th and 33rd overall picks.
Aaron Wilson, a Texans reporter, has revealed that the team met with Deonte Banks, a top cornerback prospect in the draft.

Will the Texans add another defensive back to their roster in this draft?
Last year, the Texans selected Derek Stingley Jr. at No. 3 overall and could look to add another young cornerback to their secondary.
Banks has visited with at least 12 teams besides the Texans, making him a popular hot commodity.
In his final season at the University of Maryland, Banks had a career year.
He racked up 38 total tackles, one interception, and .5 sacks in 2022, and was a top corner in the Big Ten.
Now, Banks has focused his talents on the NFL, where he will look to make a big impact on a roster.
At the combine, Banks ran a 4.35-second 40-yard dash, the third-fastest cornerback in the class.
He also posted a 42-inch vertical jump, which measured as the highest among the other corners.
Banks’ combine and collegiate performances impressed many scouts, and members of NFL organizations.
Will his pre-draft measurables be enough to vault him into the first round?
Rebuilding teams such as the Texans tend to utilize their draft picks to add to their roster.
Will Banks be selected by the Texans?
