There are a few teams throughout Major League Baseball that have strong rosters on paper, but are simply underachieving and have fallen into a big early deficit.
The Chicago White Sox are one of those teams.
Much like the St. Louis Cardinals in the National League, the White Sox put together a solid team in the offseason.
After the departure of Tony La Russa, they hired Pedro Grifol to manage the team.
They also signed a few key players in Andrew Benintendi, Elvis Andrus, and Mike Clevinger.
Sadly, they still have not found their groove.
With their 8-0 loss on Wednesday against the Toronto Blue Jays, the South Siders completed their most recent road trip by going 0-6.
They also struck out 17 times, which included 10 of their last 11 batters.

To start the weekend, the White Sox will be hosting the red-hot Tampa Bay Rays, who are 20-5 and own the best record in all of baseball.
The White Sox, on the other hand, are 7-18 and own the third-worst record in all of baseball.
They sit at 7-18, seven games back of the first-place Minnesota Twins in the AL Central.
They have also lost seven consecutive games, including nine of their last 10.
There is no doubt that there is talent on the White Sox roster.
However, they have not found their groove and are essentially still searching for rock bottom.
And things aren’t about to get any easier for the South Siders with the Rays coming into town.
The Twins will also come into town to start next week.
