Fans of the NFL are looking forward to this upcoming season’s crop of rookie quarterbacks, which includes Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud, Anthony Richardson, and Will Levis.

Young, Stroud, and Richardson made up three of the first four players chosen, while Levis wasn’t taken until the second round.

One of the great things about the NFL is that a star or even an all-time great can emerge from the late rounds of the draft.

One of them, of course, was Tom Brady, who met with Young, Stroud, Richardson, and Levis and reminded them that where they were drafted will have no bearing on how well they will do as pro players.

There have been quarterbacks drafted extremely high who either didn’t pan out or were absolute busts.

Those include JaMarcus Russell, who was expected to become a superstar, and Ryan Leaf, who had undeniable talent but a great lack of character.

On the other hand, Joe Montana was a third-round pick in 1979 who was doubted because he supposedly wasn’t tall enough and lacked arm strength, only to lead the San Francisco 49ers to four Super Bowl championships and turn them into one of the sport’s most decorated franchises.

Young, in particular, will have a unique opportunity to thrive right away, as he will have a pair of solid wide receivers in DJ Chark and Adam Thielen, as well as a Pro Bowl running back in Miles Sanders on the Carolina Panthers.

But some feel Richardson has the highest ceiling of this year’s QB crop thanks to his dual-threat skills.
