The Los Angeles Lakers were hopeful to win their first game of the 2023 Western Conference Finals, but Jamal Murray had different plans.
In the end, the Denver Nuggets took this game, taking a 3-0 lead and putting themselves on the brink to make it to the NBA Finals.
This was a hard-fought game that once again was decided in the final minutes of the fourth quarter.
Amid all the big shots from the Nuggets and the good plays from the Lakers, there was one from Dennis Schroder that drew a lot of attention.
The Lakers guard traveled right in front of referee Scott Foster and the veteran didn’t blow the whistle.

This was a really bad look for the referee, as Schroder even seemed to direct some words at him while running and holding the ball in his left hand.
Ahead of this game, many fans reacted to Foster’s participation, speculating about the NBA sending Foster to Los Angeles to favor the Lakers.

At the end of the night, none of that mattered, as the Nuggets won a big game and put the Lakers in a complex position.
Schroder has been a shell of himself during this series, just like D’Angelo Russell, and it’s all because of the Nuggets’ defense.
Things appeared to be better for the Lakers last night, but right now, the Nuggets are in a privileged position for Game 4.
The Purple and Gold aren’t losing hope, but it’s clear that they’ll need to play at the highest level to at least win one game against these Nuggets.
