The San Francisco 49ers have been stuck on five Super Bowl championships since the mid-1990s, but they have lots of hope that next season will be the one that yields championship No. 6.

Although they have a question mark at quarterback, they’re flush with talent just about everywhere else, and one of their biggest weapons is tight end George Kittle.

He had one of his best seasons ever in 2022, collecting 765 yards and 11 touchdowns during the regular season and earning his fourth trip to the Pro Bowl.

Kittle is hard at work looking to do even better in 2023, as seen in the video below.

The 49ers went 13-4 last season, which included a 10-game winning streak to end the regular season.

Early on, their offense, especially their running game, looked anemic, but a midseason trade in October for dual-threat running back Christian McCaffrey changed everything on that side of the football.

McCaffrey gave San Francisco a huge threat in the backfield, which opened up the passing game and helped Kittle slice up opposing defenses.

His numbers in 2022 could’ve been even higher had he not missed the first two games of the schedule with a groin injury.

If Travis Kelce of the defending world champion Kansas City Chiefs is the best tight end in the NFL, Kittle is definitely No. 2 on that list.

The Niners also have high hopes for next season because of their defense, which was the best in the league in 2022.

That defense should be even stronger this fall and winter with the addition of defensive tackle Javon Hargrave, who will give Defensive Player of the Year Nick Bosa an excellent pass-rushing partner.
